Jacksonville Family Dentist Loves Serving His Hometown

Dr. Folden was born and raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1976. He went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1979 and from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1983. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Folden completed a 1-year General Practice Residency at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Folden opened his private practice in July 1984 and has always sought to provide the highest level of dental care. He continues to take 50 – 100 hours of continuing education each year and he achieved his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Folden is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, East Texas Dental Society, and Kois Center Mentor.

Terri Petri Folden is Dr. Folden’s wife and they have one daughter, Lauren. The Foldens tragically lost their oldest daughter, Heather, in an automobile wreck in June 2002. They are active in the community and Dr. Folden is a Sunday School teacher and a deacon at Central Baptist Church. He has taken many leadership roles in civic groups and he served on the Board of Trustees of the Jacksonville Independent School District for nine years.
