Regain Dental Function And Confidence With Dental Implants
Missing teeth can be a burden. They can make it difficult or even painful to chew. Smiling and laughing during family get-togethers can be embarrassing. If you’re tired of having gaps in your smile, it’s time to consider teeth replacement options.
And when it comes to replacing teeth, you can’t go wrong with dental implants. A dental implant allows you to replace the entire tooth — including the root. The artificial tooth root actually fuses to your jaw bone, which makes a dental implant restored with a high-quality dental crown (which replaces the visible portion of a missing tooth) as close as you can get to a brand new tooth!

We’re happy to help you restore your dental function and your confidence!
What Are Dental Implants?
When you lose a damaged tooth or have it removed, you lose both the visible portion of the tooth (called the crown) and the root, the bony supporting structure of the tooth.
So, it makes sense that when you replace the missing tooth, it’s often best to replace both the root and the crown.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made out of a biocompatible metal, such as titanium. It’s placed in the jaw bone, and eventually, the jaw bone heals around the dental implant.
The dental implant is topped with an abutment, or connecting piece, that securely anchors a dental restoration in place. Commonly, a dental implant supports a dental crown, or single tooth prosthetic. But recently, dentists have found that dental implants can be used to anchor dental bridges or even full dental arches of artificial teeth for patients missing multiple teeth!
At All Smiles, we’re proud to custom-make beautiful same-day dental crowns using our CEREC milling device. Everything is computerized, which eliminates the need for unpleasant impressions. And since this is done in our Jacksonville, TX office, we won’t have to wait weeks for your dental restoration to be made in an off-site lab!
Thanks to this state-of-the-art technology, we’re able to create and place your restoration in the same visit!
What Is The Process Of Getting A Dental Implant?
When you trust Dr. Folden and Dr. Westbrook with your dental implants, the first thing that’ll happen is a thorough assessment of your case to make sure that it’s your ideal teeth replacement solution. Generally speaking, if you’re healthy enough to undergo a routine tooth extraction, you’re healthy enough to have dental implants placed.
But we want to make sure that your jaw bone density is sufficient enough to support dental implants. If not, we may recommend bone grafting to build up that bone density. Alternatively, we offer mini dental implants that — as the name suggests — are smaller than conventional dental implants.
Then, we’ll plan out placement of your dental implant or implants based on your needs. After that, we’ll place the implant.
To make your procedure more comfortable or to ease any anxiety you might be experiencing, we can offer nitrous oxide, a mild form of dental sedation more commonly known as “laughing gas.” We can also provide deep sedation, thanks to a partnership with East Texas Anesthesiology Associates.
After the dental implant has healed, we’ll be able to restore it with a beautiful custom-made dental prosthetic.
What If I’m Missing All Or Most Of My Teeth?
If you’re missing all or most of your teeth and are worried about traditional dentures, dental implant dentures might be your ideal solution. They leverage the security of dental implants to anchor a removable denture, so you’re getting the best of both worlds!
Dental implant dentures only require you to have two dental implants placed per upper or lower set, so it keeps chair time and recovery time to a minimum. You’ll be able to eat the foods you love without worry. Plus, they eliminate the need for denture adhesives!
Don’t Let Missing Teeth Rule Your Life
Just filling the gaps in your smile will dramatically improve your quality of life. You’ll be able to eat the foods you love without worry and smile without thinking twice about it.
But when you’re thinking about your teeth replacement options, consider this: dental implants are a long-term investment in your overall health. Because they’re embedded in your jaw bone, they prevent loss of bone density in your face. This will help you to maintain a healthy, youthful appearance!
Plus, when you properly care for your dental implants — with routine brushing, flossing, and visits to the dentist — they can last a lifetime!
